    BTW that’s nearly 18 kilometers. The horizons is SIX MILES for humans on the beach. Now, if your abode is several stories up from sea level, then maybe, if your sight is very good, you might see some smudges on the horizon. On a clear day. So the advantages of not burning hydrocarbons to power your car and elevator, outweigh your aesthetic of ocean view.
