This was during a Q&A after he spoke about Palestine years ago. You still see many liberals and so-called “leftists” (who are really just libs) crying like this girl. People act like fascists then cry when people call them what they are.

Biden’s a total open Zionist. I can’t find a linkable video, but in 1986 Joe Biden said it was time for people to stop apologizing for supporting Israel because the state is necessary for promoting US imperial interests in the region and if it didn’t exist they’d have to make a new Israel. AOC refused to even protest vote against more funding to Israel at this point. DSA people organized to get her in office and now she won’t even uphold the supposed principles she said she stood for. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/09/24/politics/aoc-israel-iron-dome-vote-explanation/index.html

Edit: what we mean by “liberalism.”

It’s easier to count US politicians who aren’t Zionists than those who are… and I’ll help, the answer is like… two?

      Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar

I’m unsure about Tlaib’s current stances. I think she’s still the US’ most anti-Zionist congressperson. She also gets called antisemitic constantly (or did a few years ago anyway) for making lukewarm, objectively true statements like “Israel treats Palestinians like the Nazis did the Jews.” Then people cry, and I will happily direct them to Norman above to rip their buttholes. Not that you need to be Jewish or have had parents in the Holocaust, but, I guess it doesn’t hurt. No can accuse Finkelstein of antisemitism, for sure.

Anyway, the last I heard of Omar’s anti-Zionism was also several years ago. She spoke out in the House I believe, stuck by her words for a while, but ultimately some mixture of Pelosi, the broad democrat party and pro-Israel PAC seem to have beaten her into submission and silence. They tried to fuck her out her congressional seat too this past election and I’m sure they will continue. They meaning democrats/the DNC and donors… just for zero ambiguity there.

AOC and Bernie will sometimes speak out. Feinstein, yeah the who just died, didn’t like the pro-Israel lobby. But all these incredibly powerful people either get broken into silence very very quickly or just change on their own or are never really pro-Palestine to begin with. The US is a hellhole, and this is yet another example of the corruption all throughout.

I have not seen Tlaib’s take on the most recent act of the resistance, but it seems that Omar has gone full “both sides”, “violence bad” lib: https://nitter.net/IlhanMN/status/1710730202353934338

Edit: upon doing some cursory research it seems the zio-fash are losing their minds over Tlaib coming out with a statement condemning the occupation of Palestine and calling for an end to apartheid.

I have not read the statement but based on the reaction i assume it was at least decent, which makes her the only US politician (only prominent one at least) with a pro-Palestinian position.

        Re-Edit: found her statement: https://nitter.net/zei_squirrel/status/1711111581591814426

Decent i think describes it well. Still crafted to appeal mostly to liberal sensibilities, but it’s at least not condemning the Palestinian resistance.

Yeah I recalled reading her response a day ago or so. Omar used to say really good stuff, but like I said, Pelosi basically took her by the hand like a kid and made her apology to the literal fucking Nazis on the republican side (and many liberals are not any better) for extremely surface level factual analysis of the situation in Gaza, etc.

I believe John Fetterman (who was elected recently to senate in his first term) was “lightly” anti-Zionist. He dropped that stance like a hot potato as soon as the time came for a federal level position. It’s absolutely insane how much power and influence the lobbies can throw on people. It feels like Casino (the movie) levels of gangster shit going on when lobbyists for a foreign fucking country can essentially nip careers before they even begin and keep pressure on long-standing members to remain silent. I don’t know how we, the general populace, can even begin to end this shit. Obviously “just vote harder” is not a solution when the choice for who you get to vote for is decided by who sucks off APAC (and it’s not just pro-Israel lobbies for the record. It’s all sorts of corporate PACs, it’s just Israel can’t even be argued for under the bullshit guise of “well, corporations make jobs derp derp” logic. It’s a foreign government, with foreign and domestic donors, shoveling money at people to say nice things and if you don’t say nice things they just shovel it to the next guy who will and will call you an antisemite for not doing so. It’s incredibly gross and cynical. I fucking hate all of it so goddamn much.)

For one thing stop voting for the uniparty. The biggest lobby groups putting pressure on politicians to be pro-Zionist are their own parties. Only by voting for politicians who are not associated with and not dependent on either the Republican or the Democrat parties for their campaign funding can this even begin to be resolved. Obviously most of the pressure must come from non-electoral action, from protests and boycotts and strikes, but you can at least stop ever, and i mean EVER voting for a Democrat again. There is no excuse for it, no matter how much the liberal media try to scaremonger with the threat of some unhinged Republican monster coming into office instead. That is blackmail pure and simple and must not be given in to because we see that the result either way is still more war, more imperialism, more corporatism, more fascism.

I broadly agree with you, especially concerning federal positions. State and local which have little/no say in foreign aid/policy and have much more direct and tangible effects day to day are still worthwhile in trying to sway (during primaries) and voting for the lesser sack of shit in the actual elections. But on the federal level with reps and senators and the president, all I can imagine we can really do is the same thing which is always suggested… form or join leftist groups which have as an explicit agenda item “end apartheid in Palestine” and it should probably be further spelled out that the group will never sponsor or endorse anyone who accepts a single dollar of PAC money originating from any sort of pro-Israel lobbies. The problem is, of course, as sad as it is to admit, Americans simply just don’t care about Palestinians. From racism against Arabs and hatred for Islam, to some absolutely bonkers ideas of Armageddon and whatever the fuck else people think, the end result is, they just don’t care. If the US was personally flying bombers over Gaza and leveling it, they might care a tiny amount more, but still generally, since it’s Arabs and Muslims dying, they won’t care. And if you do care you’re ignored (best scenario) or called an antisemite, ostracized from politics, maybe worse depending on how hard you pushed and who heard it. The ability for Americans to totally disengage from politics and act purely as observers, as if our government doesn’t cause almost all the problems in the world, is very disheartening. Things seem to slowly be coming back down to earth though…maybe…the US is getting stretched too thin and sooner or later, hopefully sooner, some policies and actions will become untenable. Unfortunately I think dropping the occupation of Palestine will be very low on the list of things to drop ie not happening until the US military fully collapses. Honestly just rambling at this point. I just hate most of my countrymen so much. Being ignorant or saying nothing is one thing, but the posts and comments and focus on the wrong “victims” I’ve seen in the past couple days is ripping my brain to shreds. Complete media and government consensus to “ok” the full extermination of people…

I would have to respectfully disagree that it is acceptable to vote Democrat at the local level. The local level is the base upon which the rest of the pyramid of a party rests. By reinforcing the uniparty at the base you stabilize it at the higher levels.

Furthermore, it is precisely because the local level is where you can make the most difference that you should vote for third parties, because there they actually have a chance of winning seats. If we are to engage in electoral tactics, and i think we are still in a phase where that avenue of struggle cannot and should not be completely neglected, then we must do it intelligently and build up the political power and mass appeal of parties that challenge the corporate, warmongering uniparty starting from the ground level.
