    The judge struck the complaint and gave the plaintiffs a month to amend it (which they will almost certainly do). He didn’t toss it out in any meaningful sense.

    The complaint was written as a political rant against “the media” and NYT for being mean to Trump and hurting his little feelings. You can’t do that in a complaint, so the judge struck it for being overly broad and whiny. The plaintiffs will refile, likely with something that more clearly states their claims against NYT.
