As summer comes, what’s the general consensus on going shoes off down the streets, into the servo, quick hop out of the car?
I feel it’s mostly relegated to a coastal town thing these days, but you still see some brave people in the city.
Damn, y’all must have either next level feet or some seriously cool sidewalks/streets. That’d get you feet looking like fajitas in Texas summers.
do what makes you feel comfortable. as a Canadian not living anywhere close to Australia, I’ll go outside in the snow barefoot to get the mail or pickup parcels the delivery donkeys dropped in the snowbank. Same with our summer.
if someone doesn’t like it, don’t eat off the ground and I won’t walk where you eat.
basically, just giv’er bud!
No one’s ever said shit to me if I was out without shoes on. But I rarely go outside without at least sandals. I don’t like stepping on rocks, glass, or hot pavement.
As an American, I never wear shoes unless I’m driving somewhere, and maybe not even then if it’s a short trip. I wouldn’t go into a store like that here because it isn’t accepted, but if it’s common where you are, I would.
