OK elon is a prick. No one sane can disagree with that. ;)
But I really worry about anyone who feels, the fertility rate of Elons staff. Is in anyway something Elon should be concerned about.
We’re talking about the guy that has almost as many children as Nick Cannon. The guy who tries
teasingtrading horses for handjobs. Perhaps by mentioning fertility rates, he’d be more open to listening. The guy who tries teasing horses for handjobs.
errk first id heard that one.
I now have the image n my head, of a horse giving a hand job.
I am not grateful.
Oof. I was more focused on the autocorrect for “handjobs” than I was for “trading”.
Glad to share out my suffereing.
Makes a bit more sence now. Once I have finished dunking my head in bleach.
I think it is hilarious because Elon says he is and this other group is calling him out on it
It’s really about higher ups ability to control and police their workers, not actual productivity. There is a subset of management that really wants to be able to micromanage and tweak the working environment to “maximize” productivity, or create a “workplace culture” that suits their needs. Many justify their high salaries based on their ability to do so.
It’s also about other elements of control, such as being able to snoop on wether or not employees are trying to unionize, or if they’re looking for new jobs.
Ultimately people working from home undermine the relevance of management and lays bear some pretty damning realities about the effects of management on real productivity. The pay (in all forms) of management has ballooned along side the Financialization of the economy, and the trend of a working from home is a serious threat to these peoples influence and pay potential
Elon Musk, while destroying Twitter, is still a massive advocate of abusing employees (https://gizmodo.com/twitter-elon-musk-silicon-valley-tech-layoffs-1850470520) and very much against the strikes (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-says-auto-union-201310505.html)
