A cop did something good?
What’s their alternative motive?
E: I forgot the word, alternative isn’t quite right buts close enough
ulterior motive perhaps?
E:
Definition: a secret reason for doing something; a purpose, often the main purpose, that is kept hidden.
Aha! That’s it!

Ever heard of “good cop bad cop”?
It’s nice there are people like this.
I remember Adelaide, Australia was looking at having cameras with facial recognition. They told the police, “Please do not utilize it until we draft proper privacy policies for the public”. The police basically responded with, “Nah, we’ll probably use it.” As such the council went, “Fuck you then, we will draft the rules before we implement the cameras.”
