My best guess is a kangaroo on a pogo stick ;-)
Location is Northern Virginia USA
Probably a cat.
Ok this looks like a good call. I was skeptical until I read this -> https://iere.org/what-animal-tracks-go-in-a-straight-line/
Link isn’t loading for me, sorry. Does it mention that most stalking/solo predators do this? 🤘🏼
There is much more but this is the intro:
“## What Animal Tracks Go in a Straight Line?
Many animals employ gaits that result in track patterns appearing as a straight line, but the most typical animals whose tracks form nearly perfect straight lines are those employing direct register gaits, notably the fox and members of the cat family”
That’s a cat. They put their hind feet into the holes made by they forefeet and walk close together like that. Perfect little predators.
Sand people. They always ride single file to hide their numbers.
