That’s correct. Getting data from Apple needs a court order. Copying data of an iPhone can be done by any fed in the back of their van. That’s why it is important to make it harder for them to copy that data in the first place and Lock Down mode helps with this.
Not just that. But legally they can order u to unlock your phone and hold u in jail until u do
AFAIK, no, they cannot. They can do that with biometrics, not with a pin/pass.
Many. Many reports have shown feds have software that just unlocks your iPhone.
Not just us feds, other countries have it
Nothing is left to stop them, the only check is them using that information directly in court against someone, where they instead have to find some Parallel Construction to use that information, a halfway plausible explanation for them finding the information legally. The courts really stretch the halfway plausible bit too, they know they are lying.
They have the gear to do all of this stuff, no one will say anything. They can intercept everyone’s calls in an area, and texts, with Stingers as I understand it to, that impersonate cell towers and then forward the information to them after tapping into it. All State police have them and larger counties and cities at a minimum have them. If you link your phone to your car they can get into your phone without a warrant, or you knowing, phone calls, texts, browser, pictures, everything. And that is just a couple of examples.
The scotus betrayed the constitution long ago, before we were born, and it’s obviously getting worse. The truth is, the courts by and large believe the Republic is already dead. The higher up in the courts the more likely they are to believe that. Lawyers by and large also, and especially prosecutors.
It’s only citizens that don’t know it yet, and or hold out hope and or the will to fight it. Those federalist society traitors were chosen not to get patriotism and side with their party when they seize absolute power.

I read it more as no one is safe, not even people ostensibly from the in-group.
Its more playing to your enemy’s weakness as they consider police and military to be god-like heroes, but now even they are being mistreated along with the rest of us.
The USG has always cheated veterans though. With the exception of WWII vets that mostly got what they were promised. Every other group has been cheated. From WWI vets being crushed with tanks in their tent city protest at the Washington Mall, to vets from Iraq with head wounds from explosives and the like diagnosed with “Personality Disorder,” to make it the Veterans problem and not the problem of the USG.
They’ve constantly voted for politicians that hate veterans, though.
We are supposed to support everyone’s rights no matter if someone assassinates their character or not.
