$139M from China - another approximately 20%
$37M from Mexico
$27M from Brazil
$27M from Japan
It only made $6M in Saudia Arabia.
So if you break USA/Canada apart it’s really China dragging it over the goal.
Canada is 1/10th the USA’s population, so if we assume they make-up 1/10th of their box office that’s about $15M so it’s $130M from the USA vs China at $139M. Definitely those two countries carried the load.
Canada the little sister just happy to be invited.
This is why we can’t have nice things. Only 1 movie in the top 10 not from a preestablished franchise.
Oppenheimer, Taylor swift, sounds of freedom, and elementals.
Oppenheimer is part of the WW2 extended universe though.
I would count Taylor Swift as a franchise.
