    I don’t love when burning trash is presented as green. It’s still the end of a lifecycle that starts with oil and ends with CO2 in the atmosphere.

      It is at least still an improvement over simply burning it or dumping it all into huge landfills. Might as well use it to generate electricity which can complement renewables while gradually transitioning away from fossil fuels.

        Sure. That has been international consensus for the last 30 years.

        And other incineration plants produce both usable electrical and heat energy.
