Absolutely unnecessary, why is his stance becoming weaker after being mayor? Standing up against Zionism unapologetically was hugely beneficial for him during the primary, going on the defensive makes no sense

Legitimately a betrayal of his own wife, how do people think he’ll stand with them when he can’t even stand with the one person who he should stand with unconditionally.

“I’m running the largest city in the country, and you’re asking me about a tweet. Not even one that I made, nor my wife, but some third party. You are pathetic and petty people, let’s focus on helping New Yorkers.”

It’s all it would have taken.

Reading the article; it looks like he was trying to say he disagreed with antisemitism more than denounce support for Palestine. The article presents it such that his wife was trying to cope with the attacks on Palestine and liked posts that others deemed antisemitic. From what ive seen I dont feel they are antiemetic, but if Mamdani wants to heir on the side of caution regarding this administration threatening to imprison anyone who is an “antisemite” (theyre word for anti-zionist) I can see why he would say what he said.

then again, I could be completely missing crucial context because I have not seen the full press release, nor the art made, nor most of the social media posts.
