Very disappointing that the first shot cuts immediately after the hit. What’s the damage?
I don’t know and last I saw on true anon the department of defense is denying it was hit, lol
there have now been several angles of the shot that hit the F-18. Looks like it was a Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems (MANPADS) that hit the F-18. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like it inflicted serious damage this time.
I don’t think these things need to be shot down completely. Just hitting the thing probably writes off the airframe permanently.
I am genuinely impressed that they can take hits like this and stay airborn though.
