In 2015, Cookie Monster filmed a viral video titled “Simply Delicious Shower Thoughts with Cookie Monster” for the Mashable YouTube channel. In the video, he explores various New York City museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim, while pondering deep “shower thoughts” about food.

Can confirm it’s fun. Though you have to throw the cookie dough in the air or else your katana won’t slice through cleanly.

When trying to make a lot of cookies fast and the same size, a good way to do it is to roll the dough into a cylinder and just slice it. So yeah, plenty of people do it that way. Altho the slices are usually thinner than sushi, but still.

I think I’d like to try buying a few rolls of different refrigerator cookie doughs, open them as usual, flatten the snickerdoodle out like nori, use the oatmeal cookie as a layer of rice, make a long center surimi log of the chocolate chip, with pinches of another flavor around it where the carrots and cucumbers would go… Then roll it up, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on the outside, chill awhile, and slice. I might even bake a few.

Has anyone made desert sashimi? Rice Krispy Treat base with cookie dough on top and a stripe of chocolate? I might give that a try…
