That is a fairly small amount of money relative to the broad list of what they can use it for. But there we go: under some circumstances, all of a sudden Republicans love federal funds. So many other times, they love grandstanding and refusing to take federal funds, like how so many “red” states refused to accept federal funds to expand medicare.
