Fun (or not so fun) fact about the titular Layla: she was partly based on Pattie Boyd - George Harrison’s wife at the time that Eric became infatuated with her and wrote this song. She ended up leaving George for Eric. Then later she left Eric (in no small part because of his alcoholism, abuse, and infidelity).
