Everyone who played it loved it, but it undersold by some stupid metric, and the creative team disbanded, and Ridley Scott personally scrapped their official plans for a VR port.
…but we’re getting a sequel. We’re finally getting a sequel. 👏

I wonder if they will make the alien more aggressive this time. So much of the last one was less scary once you realised that walking basically made you invisible to the alien. Following it, 1 turn back, down a corridor was the safest place to be, usually.
Easily one of my favourite horror games, they really nailed the atmosphere.
I got to the near end of Isolation where I’m in a cavern with corridors and eggs. Can’t get ost it and my heart can’t handle the tension. Still, I’d enjoy the sequel if it runs on my 2021 hardware.
That chapter’s the worst imo just ‘cause the instant-death face huggers are the most prevalent there. I played it on all difficulties and I just had to remember where they were and/or have plenty of flamethrower ammo available.
Thanks for the tip. Might give it another try. Down help that I’m playing with a trackpad instead of a mouse!
