The leases on hundreds of thousands of battery-powered cars and trucks will end in the next three years, and many will end up on used-car lots.
It sucks that so many of them are Teslas.
The reason why we have so many used not-Tesla EVs is because of Tesla.
I got a great deal on a KIA Niro EV. There are still plenty of good deals out there for less than 1/2 the original MSRP.
But many are Nissan Leaves and Hyundai Ioniqs. Even without Musk, I would not risk buying a used Tesla, they are horribly built.
Alright but if it’s a Tesla you can drive it right to the landfill.
Use the battery as backup storage, recycle the car and frame
Huh, neat! Good to know. Car’s coming to the end of its lifespan, my partner and I have been wondering about getting an EV next, but they can really be damn expensive
Part of that is because people (not me) hate them. Do you research before locking yourself into an EV lease or purchase.
