    I’m not sure why a failed translation from ages ago are considered boring dystopia.

    Proper translation is: foreign worker entering China are allowed. There’s an issue with the (computer) system, please be patient.

      Yesa, this is old Engrish content. Congrats, you know the history of the interwebz!

      But there’s a different way of interpreting the English part, and that is very much on topic. See my other comment.

        Work permit is 工作准征, 许可is more like permitted, allowed. Permit(as in the document, license) can also translated to 许可证, but the lack of 证 here kinda change the meaning because that 证 is an indication of document. Also the background word hinted that this is some sort of work expo, maybe the system keep telling foreigner applying that they aren’t allow thus they need a placard stating otherwise.

        But idk, i’m not from mainland, maybe they use other wording for it. Also it doesn’t matter because i completely misread the purpose of the post.
