The House voted to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security, ending a 75-day shutdown. ICE and Border Patrol will be funded separately due to Democratic opposition.

The bill does not provide new funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Border Patrol, however, as Democrats demand changes to immigration enforcement. Both ICE and border enforcement had funding during the shutdown, and Republicans will attempt in the coming weeks to keep them funded for the rest of Trump’s term.

They have more than enough funding, it’s just really easy to grift from that huge pile of money and they’ll always want more
Yep. In hindsight, overfunding ICE and CBP through the BBB was a brilliant move.
