You’ve got me thinking now. When I was in Tokyo over Christmas I went to use the toilets at a shopping centre. Just outside was a business that was quite clearly lesbian bar, and I’m fairly certain they had some very trans inclusive messaging on the outside. I also seem to recall it was a cafe during the day.
Going to be scratching my brain now for a while just to try and remember where it was to verify that it wasn’t just a fever dream.
The “cafe during the day” part makes me think of Anchor, but that’s nowhere near a shopping center. So it presumably wasn’t Nichome. Do you remember what area of Tokyo it was?
Hmm, come to think of it Goldfinger is also a cafe on Sundays, and that’s visible from the main road.
