Do no banks in Utah use VPNs?
Yeah, is every corporate office going to move out of Utah? Corporate VPNs are very common and important to their infrastructure. Most likely I assume it’s another law to be selectively enforced against people they dislike
Until someone throws down a challenge of equal protection under the law.
Honestly, this is Fail 101.
Have you seen the supreme court? They don’t care about equal enforcement of the law
Nor standing, at least if it’s something they want to change.
The law is against explaining how to use a VPN in certain contexts (“websites subject to the state’s age verification law”), so yeah it is selective and excludes a corporate office telling people how to access it with a VPN.
Tor usage and proxy usage will be on the rise in Utah.
How could someone weaponize this law against the companies who support the people who wrote this bill?
