Nothing demonstrates a victorious nation quite like shutting down international travel and communications.

Well, somebody else might want to “celebrate” at the time and the same place.

      Can’t we all just…celebrate together???

🤣 unrelated but your comment reminded me of the vampires from sinners, trying to get in: can’t we all… be family for one night?

Drones with star navigation must be coming if they don’t already exist. Gonna have higher power requirements for a 180° camera and tracking software but those little 360 cameras are pretty common now.

Optical wires or inertial is already viable for this kind of mission.

But in truth, it’s probable that the whole thing is a ruse to get Russia to pull back AA to protect Moscow and exploit that advantage elsewhere.

Rodney King famously asked, “Can we all just get along?” during a press conference in 1992, appealing for peace.

Closing the airspace and prevening any Ukrainian drone operators from using mobile internet for command and control are both reasonable precautions ahead of this large public event.

I would agree with blocking mobile internet, but could they not have left basic calling and maybe sms operable? I feel bad for the locals. At least it seems to only have been for half of a day.

As far as I know they block non whitelisted websites. So you can make calls, send sms, use popular apps like ordering food, taxi, government messenger, etc.
