Teams going overseas for money seems like a pretty good reason taxpayer funds shouldn’t be used to build billion dollars plus NFL stadiums…

We used to just worry a team would move to another city/state, anyone who doesn’t see the writing on the wall that NFL will go where the money is hasn’t been paying attention.

All the owners care about is money, and as soon as they know they’ll make more overseas, they’re gonna start going.

I’m pretty sure all the overseas games are just market research and conversations are already happening

My initial reaction was that the time zone difference would be brutal. It wouldn’t be so bad.

Its doable, but only if the Japanese get up early. Japan is 13 hours ahead of ET during the summer, and 16 hours ahead of PT. A Japan game at 0900 is 2000 ET/ 1700 PT. But go much later than 1100 Japan Time, and it’s too late for the East Coast.

Night games in Japan (like 2100) would be 0800 on the East Coast but way too early for the West Coast.

I was in Japan recently in October, and it was wild that the prime-time MLB playoff games were all morning games there.
