    Can we just talk about how fucked up it is that Odysseus bets his wife and home on none of them being able to string his heavy bow?

    What was the plan if one of them succeeded?

      Probably murder. I mean, he’s pretty much headed that way regardless, but this does make for a more sporting conclusion. It’s like the scene in Shane where Jack Palance is telling the farmer ‘go on… pick up the gun.’

        I mean, that plan ended up being a ruse to get him armed…where he does go about murdering all the suitors. After his dope trick shot, of course

    Whoa whoa whoa. The suitors only show up after the rest of the Greeks get back from sacking Troy, so at most they’re there for 8-9 years.
