    Season 7 was the one I watched the most as a kid but I think my favorite is season 3. Peter Peter caviar eater is one of the best episodes ever

      Season 3 is my highlight as well. 1 - 5 are probably the “golden era” of the show for me.

      You can tell the show went downhill when they started explaining every joke. Guy falls down the stairs, someone turns and says “they just fell down the stairs”. That’s my indicator for when the humor just fell off.

        For the American Audience. You’ll notice to get higher ratings they have to explain the jokes.

          Thats depressing af, altho I do need to propose an alternstive or adjuvant validated theory.

          Setg MacFarland has made repeated jokes on the commentsry/special bonus feature tracks 4th wall breaking comments directly to the young and teen boys watching suggesting that a substantial if not the most significant segment watching and much of its intended audience is boys and probably also younger children/tweens/teens in general. Family Guy quotes were huge even in Grade 5 lol. We were definitely all watching

          There are so many jokes that inevitably went over my head as a kid so theres that angle also
