“A lot of people I’ve spoken to just in the last few months have said that they would look down on a person if they had a federal job on their résumé that they started during this administration,” he said. “And some people have explicitly said they would see a person willing to go to work at this D.O.J. as somebody they couldn’t trust.”

It warms my heart to see the absolutely catastrophic consequences that the regime is having on the reputation of federal prosecutors and the legal profession in general.

This actually helps them. They get rid of intelligent subversives and can install their loyal servants.

This is not a win. It is the next logical step in the end of Democracy. Be ready to fight for your families’ lives.

The Justice Department, which saw its attorney ranks shrink by a fifth, has relaxed its hiring requirements for some positions.

“We are fast-tracking applications to bring talented professionals on board,” Harmeet K. Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s civil rights division, declared in a recruiting ad posted on social media this spring.

IOW, like with ICE, they will be getting undertrained, inexperienced people.

On the upside, those stupid people may be able to indict a ham sandwich, but not a sandwich thrower.

That is true, but only after they’ve completely consolidated power. This regime is flouting laws left and right and getting away with it, true, but they also are frequently stymied in the courts, which confirms that they haven’t completed their consolidation.

A war consists of many battles. They are winning many, but also losing many or being heavily delayed. Losses of talent and competency are not well mitigated by the fact that their replacements are loyalists, because they’re also bad at life, and by their mere existence are undermining their organization.

So, I’d say that this is a win, and a bellwether of future wins in the legal arena.

also 1 law firm that agreed to work pro-bono for them, as permanently hurt thier reputation. most law firms involved with TRUMP or most gop have to actually quit the law firms, so the firm doesnt get thier reputation tainted. so any lawyer working for the GOP are indefinitely tied to conservatives government for employment.
