What am I supposed to do, not vote?

    a) yes, but more importantly
    b) organize with local socialist organisations, read theory, meet people in a political space and start doing something.

I’m (genuinely, curiously) interested in the logic for not voting at all.

As I see it, mathematically speaking, my vote is counted either way. The election outcome not being influenced by my lack of vote is effectively giving half my vote to each candidate, for a net zero.

As I see it, given it’s going to be counted either way, I’d rather it be counted for the candidate closer to my preferences.

Comrade, what would you recommend I do with that 45 minutes on a workday other than vote?

I think you’re ignoring the psychic damage you’re doing to yourself by voting for bloodthirsty demons.

You’ll legitimately feel better if you vote for someone you actually like, even if you have to write it in yourself.

One thing you can certainly could do is hand in a blank ballot, or write in a candidate, or vote PSL. I mean this is just me looking at how I will approach the next elections here in g*rmany where the amount of choices just leads to a more believable solution. Plus in the US you already have out and out fascism, concentration camps, pogroms you name it. Participating in that system, giving a vote whether who you’d rather have deporting people or bombing children just serves to legitimize the outcome which you can’t affect either way. The only “harm reduction” is how much the harm will affect you or others. Anyway this article makes it more clear I believe.

Liberals when they shield their delicate eyes from clear and actionable items to make the world a better place and resort to vaguely rephrasing and omitting things until it is meaningless to them.
