Is there a German word that means “condescending compliment?”

I don’t get it, why is it racist? Everyone in the thread seems really supportive of him
Imagine a white person saying, “I love Obama. I wish he could be by butler or manservant, that would be wonderful!”
They’re positioning themselves as the children being raised by mamdani. Explicitly making themselves subordinate to him. It isn’t great but it’s not like wishing he could be their “manservant” (and butler was, historically, a very privileged position…)
butler was, historically, a very privileged position…

Compared to pretty much everyone outside the aristocracy. I still wouldn’t want to be a butler and people who have butlers should be put through some kind of industrial device, but butlers really did enjoy some serious privilege historically. They effectively ran the estate.
Im really not getting that here. They want him in a position of power over themselves. They want him to be the nanny above them as children(like that other commenter who said they want to give up all responsibility) not be the one hiring him to do their work.
I can’t believe your comment isn’t satire, that’s a hilariously unhinged take.
Weird take OP, might want to reconsider this one
…what?
The “Adults in the room” really do just want to be children again and have someone just take care of their every need without any responsibility.
It’s why libs get themselves so worked up about “what will future historians say about this era!?” They want a world where everything revolves around the grade some hypothetical professor would give them.
But…I always say that…
Oh no…I’m a lib
