      While I appreciate your point in the context of Irish reunification, plastering political statements across relatively non-political communities is the sort of thing that leads to new users thinking that Lemmy and Piefed are entirely political.

          Gaza is an on going Genocide, Northern Ireland was the source of state repression and terrorism which has since come to a political settlement agreed by the governments on both sides.

          Pretending the two are equivalent is ridiculous.
