      I don’t know what this “succeeds” is.

      2014, when I last tried [debian] hurd, it was working fine.

      Working operating system kernel. Sounds like success to me.

      I will try all the distros once I get back to my desktop. I have a spare HDD to use there, and I would love to report how they are on metal.
