I liked the first two seasons. But, last night, I turned off episode 2 of this new season about ten minutes in to watch the next episode of Legion I had lined up.
So far, the first two episodes have left me meh.
EDIT: Huh? I have episode 2, got it yesterday, but I sail the high seas, Sonarr grabbed it. I dunno where it came from, maybe it released in Europe?
I only watched the 1st episode from season 3 and it’s the only one released yet afaik?!
I really dislike the amnesia plot. After an extremely slow paced and dragged out season 2, now it feels like the gloves are off. The show just refuses to reveal any more of the plot. It feels like I’m being held hostage.
If this is how shows are going to be I’m going to have to read the book or wait for more episodes to come out and skip the filler because this is getting ridiculous. As a fan of the book, read the book.
This has been my reaction as well. Season 2 feels like they stuck her in a second silo to pause her story while a rebellion happened. Now it feels like we have amnesia, again to slow down the story, and focus on the modern day story We’re stuck on “the display is a lie” thing and we’re on already on season 3.
Sucked since season 1. Series felt like it took itself too seriously like I was watching Fallout but without the cheeky self awareness
yeah i also bailed after season 1. The first episode set up an interesting setting and mystery, but every episode after was a slog that missed the forest for the trees. So much focus on minutia, and very little tie in to the meta mystery. Maybe the plots eventually dovetail, but there was no sign of it along the way.
There was also no mention of basic engineering principals like preventative maintenance, redundant/backup systems, or even elevators, despite clearly advanced engineering chops to build such a massive self contained living space. Supposedly some of this is mentioned in the book but that’s not an excuse for lazy TV writing.
I only watched the the first epidose of season 3 bit thought I should go back and watch season 2 again as don’t remember why things are the way there are now in seasons 3.
Same here about rewatching season 2. I also have only watched the first episode of season 3 since that is all that has been released.
I’ve enjoyed the show so far. Took me a minute to remember what happened in Season 2 that led to Season 3, but once I started to remember the ending, I got into it.
I also liked the first two, but haven’t started the third yet. Maybe I’ll give it some time to warm up before diving back in.
i’m enjoying it but i’ve also read the books so the cliffhangers don’t bug me so much
I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 is pretty dull so far. The episodes really drag on and the memory loss thing really slowed things down.
The flashbacks to the near present should have been their own show/prequel. I have no investment in these people or their story. I have started fast forwarding through these scenes.
