Applied Optoelectronics said it has broken ground on two adjacent manufacturing developments in Pearland, Texas. Situated roughly 20 miles south of Houston, the complex will add almost 400,000 square feet of production capacity for AOI's 800G and 1.6 Tbps transceivers.
