My company wants us to use the Prisma Browser if we are using personal devices to access corporate resources.
My question: can this browser/my employer see what other apps are running on my personal PC when Prisma is open?

Yes I generally know that, but I wanted to understand the scope of what a browser could glean from the PC itself.
Does it know steam is running? Does it know it’s been minimized for 4 hours?
From your link, by the marketing verbiage, they can record and replay actions during a session. One can assume the surveillance is self-contained to the browser itself and any external service which affects it. However, screenshots or videos made during an abnormal event might reveal the environment beyond it.
Spying on other apps installed might be a separate option with its own price. Can’t say for sure.
Maybe sandbox it. Put it in a chroot or VM or something. It doesn’t always work as there are sometimes exploits to break out of those, but worth a shot.
Also, if you’re just webbrowsing, you could buy a cheapo outdated notebook/PC and slap it on there. I got old hardware even for free a few times. You can still use it for simple things, like webbrowsing or retro games.
I have a separate work laptop, no issue there. I just like my personal monitor/kB/mouse when working from home and was wondering what they could see from a browser.
I’ll continue using the dedicated work laptop given some of the answers!
