They’re just saying words at this point. They’re just assembling words in an order without concern for meaning.
What could they possibly have meant with this? Like I know it’s a perversion of the words but I can’t even fathom what mental gymnastics could even be performed here.
I think the argument is that Ai democratises a number of previously more difficult processes - which does have a few grains of truth to it though of course has nothing really to do with owning the means of production.
But I think they mean to say Ai ‘produces’ things and you’re at the wheel. The means to produce an ai film, the means to produce an app, or fcking whatever.
I’ve had a person on this very site argue that generative AI was “seizing the means of production” from artists. By stealing their labour.

This feels like Alex Karp’s doing. His brain is broken in the way that would make this seem like a good idea.
