In a decision issued last week, the Canada Industrial Relations Board said the Bank of Canada contravened the Canada Labour Code by using contractors from Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations during the strike.
Actual, literal Pinkertons. 😬

The Pinkerton detective agency still exists and is frequently employed by firms to harass random citizens.
For example, a few years ago, Wizards of the Coast accidentally sent a promotional playing card booster pack to a content creator two months early, and instead of requesting the cards back or threatening legal action, the company sent a squad of heavily armed Pinkertons to break into the man’s house. After banging on the door, the agents pushed inside while brandishing firearms and threatening criminal charges if the man and his wife did not allow them to search the entire house without a warrant.
The Pinkertons also fought Take-Two Interactive over the company’s supposed “Unfair and slanderous portrayal in Red Dead Redemption 2”.
Yikes. So basically, a mercenary gang wearing suits to legitimize their practice.

Imagine trying to sue for free publicity on a video game. Also its crazy they’re still on business but we all know its a well paid job to be a violent arm of capital.
The same Pinkerton agency who were defending Carnegie in Homestead.
