Yet another example of someone targeting a very small handful of users. But it’s not for political posts like I figured they would me. Looks like the posts are totally random comments and nothing controversial, but they are all downvoted by this user.
Seems like they are on some vendetta or something. Very strange.
Are we finally starting to see bots come into the fediverse now? What in the world is going on with these serial downvoters? I don’t get the thought process behind it.
This Court hereby finds the defendant GUILTY!
The defendant shall spend no fewer than 71 years assembling IKEA furniture with one bent Allen wrench, three missing screws, and instructions that have somehow become damp.
Every time the defendant believes the bookshelf is finally complete, the Court shall provide one additional wooden dowel and refuse to explain where it goes.
This may seem cruel, yes, but the law was written during a difficult afternoon. My downstairs neighbor is listening to “The Best of Creed” on repeat.
I slipped an LP of “The Best of Debbie Gibson” but it doesn’t seem the person is taking requests at this time. Which is too bad, because I do get lost in her eyes sometimes. Especially if I’m not wearing my glasses.
Wait so the prosecution and the judge are the same person and the accused has no representation and isn’t allowed to speak?
That’s roughVery rough. Very, very rough. It reminds me of my Uncle Leroy. Uncle Leroy lost most of his fingers on his right hand in a chainsaw accident. Once the little nubs healed up, he started wrapping sandpaper around each one because, as he liked to say, it made him more “grippy.”
Then, when I least expected it, he’d sneak up behind me, grab my face with those sandpaper nubs, and start rubbing. “MAKING YOU TOUGH!” he’d yell.
Back and forth. Across the cheeks. Sometimes the forehead. Once across an eyelid. That was rough.
Which brings me back to the defendants. Every defendant brought before this honorable Court is perfectly welcome to appear, present evidence, explain themselves, challenge the accusations, or tell this Court to go directly to Hell.
Yet strangely, most choose instead to simply… downvote instead.
Much like Uncle Leroy, they apparently have very little concern for my smooth skin and delicate feelings.
He was just trying to prepare you for the whelps :(
lol where did you come up with that?
50 votes a day isn’t outlandish but the behavior is kinda weird. you’d think somebody would see something to upvote even if they’re lurking.
Sure, in a normal situation, maybe I can see someone downvoting that much, especially in a political community where people strongly disagree.
But this person was different. They only downvoted the same five users, regardless of what or where those people posted. A lot of it wasn’t political at all, and the subjects and communities were pretty random.
The only consistent pattern was the users being targeted. That makes it look less like normal disagreement and more like targeted harassment.
Maybe they like almost everything and decide to downvote 1 out of every 10 posts instead of upvoting 9 lol
