Off-topic but very noticeable in this video (but I am seeing it more and more often on YT): see that video artifact of a strait line that goes down the middle of the torso of the person speaking? Given that it moves with the speaker, my guess would be that YT is doing some sort of 3D reconstruction of the scenes and this is a texture or lighting artifact. Besides that this is quite distracting, I assume this is some sort of new way to abstract training data for visual AI models? I assume this would also allow altering the videos in insert product placements etc fully integrated in the scenes.
Interesting. I haven’t noticed it any myself. Though I watch plenty YT. It could come down to content type or even upload date. Will have to watch when I get home. Though honestly a good portion of what I “watch” on YT are podcast type things where the visuals aren’t that important. PBS Spacetime is one of the few I pay close attention to visuals on. As its often the main way I’ll have a good chance of understanding the discussion lol.

I should have made a screenshot, because now opening it again it seems to be gone here too. But this is definitely not the first time I have seen this effect.
