For gods sake are we really not signing fucking anyone? I’d even take Kieran Tierney on loan specifically to play LW atp, we simply won’t have the depth to go for everything this year if we’re losing Martinelli and Nwaneri and Jesus. We’re causally adding 1500 ish PL minutes without replacement, not to mention all the minutes Nelli had in the CL and they all had in the cups. Or the World Cup fatigue.
On the positives, Bruno, Konsa, and Tzolis are all pretty amazing deals. It’s just missing a bit of something, yknow?
Like unless we have a brand new faith in a youth player I’m not aware of or plan to give Dowman a shit ton more minutes, I feel like we need even just a body to play the cup games or finish some matches out.
On the other hand I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in the idea of playing a shithousing Bruno-Rice-Zubi midfield with Eze on the wing if Ødegaard and Tzolis’re out instead of having Eze as Ødegaard’s backup

The match yesterday left me confused. We didn’t look good from the start, Havertz was a waste of time, as was Ødegaard. I understand that Arteta has his favourites, but being able to switch it up makes a huge difference. Bruno and Gyökeres should’ve come on with Eze.

We just looked toothless. We were probing, but not with any incisiveness. We definitely approached this game with the mindset of not losing, when we should’ve really gone there to steamroll them.
Villa are a good team in fairness, and we’re probably still getting our footing, just like everyone else is. Though we’ll see, I wasn’t able to watch cuz of time zones.
