Some people think that early September is too early to plan next year in advance. I disagree.

CURRENT PLAN FOR 2027

January 6 will be dedicated to Magic Heart and the Magical Warriors: The Movie and ALIEN FIGHTER by the same creator, in honor of the Magic Heart 20th anniversary. The rest of January will be dedicated to showing the final seasons of The Boondocks and Star vs the Forces of Evil.

From the end of January onward, 2027 will be dedicated to two new blocks. The idea of these blocks is to let me be a bit more flexible.

Wednesday: TV☆3SIS Rolls The Dice!

A random number generator from 1 to 6 corresponds to Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. After choosing a continent, another random number generator chooses a country from that region that hasn’t yet had a movie/show from there shown on Blorptube. Once one of the six continents has no countries left, its number corresponds to the least covered continent.

Just like 2026, these movies may be paired with fanime or Esperanto short films. After showing Magic Heart: The Movie I’ll start showing the fan-made Magic Heart sequel series as dead air material.

Shows and movies already on my radar for this project
  • Timeless: A Virgin Islands Love Story — US Virgin Islands — UPLOADED!
  • The Orator — Samoa — UPLOADED!
  • Cherkess — Jordan — UPLOADED!
  • Aki na Ukwa — Nigeria — found without subtitles
  • The Sessions — Nigeria
  • Harvest 3000 Years — Ethiopia — found but the subtitles are in two parts and there’s a frame rate difference
  • Teza — Ethiopia — found the Italian dub with Spanish hardsubs and English softsubs I can retime
  • Yeelen — Mali — UPLOADED!
  • I Am Not A Witch — Zambia — UPLOADED by deathtoreddit; does death plan on showing it?

  • Bye-Bye Africa — Chad — UPLOADED!
  • The Mukadota Family — Zimbabwe — found one episode unsubtitled

  • Tiriparwendo — Zimbabwe
  • Studio 263 — Zimbabwe — much of the series is on YouTube, without subs but it seems to be all in English
  • Soulmate — Zimbabwe
  • Seems like there’s actually a lot of Zim stuff with Eng subs on YouTube, Wadiwa Wepa Moyo is another
  • Stormskerry Maja — Åland Islands — UPLOADED!
  • Dunia — South Sudan — UPLOADED!
  • Dagmai Hiwet (found via this YouTube playlist) — Eritrea — UPLOADED!

  • Maisa the Chamoru Girl who Saves Guåhan — Guam — UPLOADED!
  • Garifuna in Peril — Honduras

How many of these I can actually get my hands on is a different matter.

Saturday: TV☆3SIS PrecYear

Five-or-so episodes of Pretty Cure in release order every Saturday, with the movies in watch order as well. This should mean a new season every two months or so. Assuming no hiccups, this presumably means finishing Fresh Precure around the end of January 2028, which is… nowhere near the end of Precure, but hey, it’s closer.

Exceptions

  • Wednesday June 30 will be the premiere of Blazoner Narazen episode 3, assuming it comes out on time.
  • Saturday September 11 will be the second half of Dagsrevyen’s coverage of 9/11.
  • Wednesdays in December will be dedicated to Jul i Blåfjell
  • I might set aside some Wednesdays or Saturdays for some other things, see below:

OTHER IDEAS

These are either ideas I had this year for things to show next year, or ideas I had last year for things to show this year that never materialized.

REJECTED IDEAS I MIGHT CHANGE MY MIND ON

I'm not sure how well it would work for a watch party
  • Audiobook and study guide of Das Kapital
  • LEGO Plane Go Boom (also: on second thought, I’m not very interested in it; also: need to fix up)
  • Tesagure! Bukatsumono (also: need to fix up)
  • Hazel, the anime YouTuber
  • Katawa Shoujo let’s play (visual novel)
On second thought, I'm not very interested in it
  • Norwegian dub of Bionicle 2+4 (also: I have the DVDs but don’t know how to rip them)
  • Norwegian dub of Pokémon
  • Norwegian dub of Dragon Ball Z
  • Norwegian dub of Sonic X
  • Norwegian dub of Bakugan
  • Norwegian dub of Digimon
  • Gravity Falls
  • The Replacements
  • Animaniacs
  • RWBY (I do like the early part of the series but lost interest as it went on)
  • Dead Snow

THINGS I’M HAVING TROUBLE ACCESSING

Can't get access to at all
  • Black Sand
  • An Taibhse (I found a Polish VO dub via extremely slow torrent)
  • Ustoppelig
  • The Chatterboxes
Can't get access to with English subs
  • Son of Stone + Son of Stone and the Giant (I found a version with Turkish hardsubs)
  • Argonavtebi
  • Children of Troubled Times
  • Dorei Kojo (the only version of the movie I could find online splits it into shorter segments to boot, so unless I find a better upload I’ll have to sew those segments together)
  • Trees Grow on the Stones Too
  • King Curling

THINGS I CAN SHOW WITH A BIT OF WORK

Need to fix up / write subs
  • Luftens helter (write subs)
  • Azumanga Daioh (edit to remove Kimura)
  • Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (make audio description)
  • Kaptein Sabeltann (write subs)
  • Over the Garden Wall Esperanto fandub (fix subs)
  • More Tegnsatt (write subs)
  • 22 juli (write subs)
  • Oslo Zoo (write subs)
  • Gutta på skauen (write subs)
  • Vestavind (write subs)
Something else is holding me up
  • Næturvaktin (want to watch with me mum first)

AND THE REST

Can do whenever, no strings attached
  • Rabbit-Proof Fence
  • Pathfinder
  • Battle Front for the Liberation of Japan - Summer in Sanrizuka
  • The Panama Deception
  • Solomamma
  • Father of Four on Bornholm
  • The Monkey and the Mouth
  • More Norwegian Olsenbanden films (I already showed the first one)
  • Currently-airing anime (This feels like something to do when I’m well and truly out of ideas.)
  • Other anime on my plan-to-watch list, chief among them Keijo
  • Gentlemen of Fortune and other Mosfilm movies
  • Tunnel War (1965)
  • Arctic Void (2022) — but I’d rather somebody else be the one to show it.

To reiterate: I’d appreciate help in acquiring the following works with English subtitles.
