Four pathogens account for most infection-related cancers, a new study highlights, but the tools to prevent them range from well-established vaccines to treatments still under development.

      Why would they delete this?

It sounds like something that people should definitely be aware of

Well I gave you a direct link because that’s what they want. You can edit the post to use it.

Edit 9. No link shorteners or news aggregators. All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

They don’t like links from aggregation sites.

I wanted to post a link I found in Yahoo earlier today and had to refrain. I could not find the original article as per usual; I think it might have been a case where Yahoo actually made some original content (???) but I don’t think that’s something they do.

I thought it was known for a while that inflammation is one of the leading causes of cancer.

More is genetic damage from viral infections. Inflamation is less direct: it often triggers more cell repkication, and each replication event has the potential to introduce a genetic error.

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.
