I worked somewhere where they had a “free stuff” shelf for employees. One employee would leave something there (old video game CD-ROMs, networking hardware, books, whatever) and another employee that wanted one of the items would take it. Pretty neat.
Someone left a copy of an English translation of Journey to the West there. I grabbed it on a lark and read it. It wasn’t very far into it that I had the thought “this feels like Dragon Ball Z”. A little bit of googling later, I learned there was a very good reason why it felt like Dragon Ball Z. (Or rather Dragon Ball Z felt like Journey to the West.)
I left that book in the hot car during the summer and the paperback binding glue disintegrated. I kinda wanted to keep it in my “library” (an overstatement), so I watched some YouTube videos to learn how to rebind it. It’s now nicely intact and on my shelf.
The good ending :)
I’d watch that
It takes 7 episodes of yelling to get one shoe on.
