How about calling Annie Andrews a trans slur, I’m so happy they got fucked last night. I hope they keep getting fucked. I don’t want that high road bullshit, make it as difficult as humanly possible for them and then rip them apart in the next election. Make it impossible for the GOP to survive, reform them through force.

There’s nothing to reform. Conservatism and capitalism were both created as a way to allow rich, parasitic nobels to continue owning things they had no right to. The entire premise of the right-wing should be fully insane to pretty much everyone but the absolute worst of us.

There is no place for right-wing ideology in a civilized world.

You talk about them being created “as a way to” do something. To me that implies they were created consciously, but I don’t think they were.

It worked. A lot of the campaign money went to fearmongers on trans. People just cared about living costs more. Do they have worse opinions on trans issues than before? Absolutely.

Nah, he’s been trying to play both sides and get everyone’s approval. His actual voting record is in favour of trans kids in sports. But lately he said that he opposes trans kids in sports if it harms safety or fairness. Now, obviously you and I know it doesn’t impact safety or fairness at all. He probably knows it too. But conservatives don’t know it. So he’s doing a doublespeak where he’s telling us he supports trans rights, and telling conservatives he doesn’t.

When directly asked, he said his position on trans kids in sports hasn’t changed. But obviously, the way he talks about it has. So we, the people, need to tell him what we think of his dogwhistling doublespeak. He needs to be clear and direct in saying he supports trans kids’ right to compete in sports the same as anyone else.

I suspect it’s more that people only have the room to care about Moralist-politics when they themselves are comfortable, with full bellies and a roof over their heads.

If things are tight for them, all of a sudden somebody else’s minority sexual orientation or gender details doesn’t look important anymore.

Whilst immigration can still be portraid as something with a negative economic impact (“they’re taking our jobs”) for people who themselves are economically hurting and thus can still be used by the Far-Right for fearmongering amongst the worse off, sexual orientation and gender definitelly cannot (there’s no “gays/transsexuals are stealing our jobs”).

So I think this one is more thanks to Iran (ironically, since they’re a conservative Theocracy) than it is thanks to Ukraine.
