Exactly. Everyone needs to live in bumfuck nowhere atleast a year or two, just as a personality building exercise.

Lived there for about five years. Pretty sure my small backwater burg was built over a hell mouth. Very interesting high school years. Teenagers aren’t smart but even relative to that low standard willful stupidity was almost as abundant as substance abuze, field cars, and animals that live in a weird Twilight zone between pet and wild around a house that lives in a weird Twilight zone between being renovated and being whole.

No thanks. I’d rather stab myself in the eyes repeatedly than live a bumpkin life in rural America for even one second.

Yeah. Living in a rural area wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t involve living around people like my mom’s redneck siblings.

I lived in a town in northern Arizona for a while and it was the worst. Everyone you met there said they moved there because they didn’t like people… oh so I guess they didn’t want to be friends 😬. Someone called the cops because my dirt patch lawn wasn’t neat enough. There was a concert in the main square in town of Scream-o music praising Jesus. The highschool students had a milquetoast BLM solidarity march around the courtyard in a place that bills itself as “America’s Hometown” and they were met by armed militias pointing loaded weapons at them.

            I moved.

Maybe they should get more resources to improve their quality of life before you, then.
