If you can write out the math where I, voting 3rd party, add a vote to Trump’s tally, and I will personally give you one billion dollars.

Lol. Trump is a fascist and has about a 35% ceiling for fascist voters in the US. Any vote you take away from his ONLY competition (in this case Biden) moves him one vote closer to victory. Keep your (nonexistent) money imbecile.

Bro you just won the internet with pedantic technical arguments that pretend to not understand what the person you’re arguing with is telling you.

              Trump - 50 000 votes

              Biden - 50 001 votes with you

              or

              Trump - 50 000 votes

              Biden - 50 000 votes

              3rd - 1 vote (you)

No one owes votes to Biden by default. This math doesn’t add to Trump’s rally. You’re saying @[email protected] is automatically a Biden voter, but changing their mind would take votes away from Biden. At no point is Trump gaining anything from this.

No one votes for candidates by default. No one owes politicians votes.

It doesn’t matter whether you want to vote for him or not. Voting third just means you vote for the worst of the two main options.

I don’t live in the US, we have multi-party system, but it’s still first pass the post, so if I don’t vote for someone normal, my vote goes to void, and some fascists can get one step closer to the post.

If you want to dismantle the two party system, voting for anyone won’t do it.

Unless you like dictatorships and want to abolish voting. In which case, just vote Trump and be honest with yourself.

Both options are the worst options. My choices are between a blue genocidal fascist and a red genocidal fascist. Neither are any different except Trump is funnier.

I am both voting for and not voting for Biden somehow and it’s pissing me off the general population is this stupid.

Feds, I’ve committed voter fraud apparently. You know what to do.

The thinking is that 3rd party votes will lessen the amount of votes Biden gets, thus allowing Trump to win.

You aren’t actually adding a vote to Trump’s tally, you are subtracting one from Biden.

Most of the Independents I know skew towards the Republican side anyway, so I’m just a little inclined to think a 3rd party vote will actually subtract from Trump’s tally, but I’m just a little old blue lady down in Louisiana, so what do I know?

Nobody in my very conservative family is happy w/ Trump OR Biden.

If they decided to go 3rd party, are they also voting for Biden? For Trump? They’ve committed voter fraud? Wait what?

I can’t even imagine how that is your take-away from my comment. If your very conservative family vote 3rd party, they are voting 3rd party. Not for Biden or Trump.

My comment is attempting to point out that 3rd party votes are going to have a consequence.
