Sounds like Israel has effectively annexed these territories. That must mean that all those living there are citizens, right?
The west bank and gaza have been entirely controlled by Israel since 1967, even though they came under civic management of the Palestinian authority in 1994. Since Israel controls all of gaza’s borders, air space, sea access, communication infrastructure, power generation, water access, food access, currency, and citizen registry, it is by definition occupied by Israel even though Israel previously withdrew its on the ground presence in the strip. All those things are controlled by Israel in the west bank as well. Palestinians of the west bank and gaza of course do not have any of the rights of an Israeli citizen, but also have absolutely no sovereignty over the land they live in.
Pretty sure that was the goal. Now they can arrest whoever they want.
