So I was wondering what this meant as far as additional responsibilities that Nick is taking on with this role, and I found this article: https://www.executive-vp.com/executive-vp-of-football-operations/

Seems like he will be responsible for cohesion between coaches and front office staff and players, spending time with all to make sure things run smoothly. He’s responsible for making sure players are obeying rules and not getting suspended, and are healed fully before returning from injury. He’s more involved in the financial side of operations. All thing that I feel he kind of did anyways, but now has the title and probably pay increase for it.

Side note: remember earlier this year when people thought Nick might get fired? I, for one, never believed it, but this move seems to even further cement his status within the organization.

People that thought Nick was on the hot seat were high anyway. He’s got at LEAST three more years to finish the rebuild and show progress before he needs to worry.

Anything less than that is a disservice to the team and will wipe out any credibility the organization has.

      Clearly just my uninformed opinion.
