Pretty sure the english pronunciation is Neesh, but the origin is french and is closer to Nish.

People think theory = hypothesis. A theory is something proven, which started as a hypothesis…

There are many genes that affect the color of our hair and skin. Dark colors are caused by higher amounts of melamine in hair/skin. Those darker traits are dominant genes. In the same vein, two black people can have a child that will have lighter skin than them if the parents carry recessive genes and pass them on.
But it is even more complex than that because there are so many factors that affect the expressivity of genes : the environment, the diet or even other genes.
And don’t get me started on genre/sex… Biology is sooo complex, and genetics is just one of its branch, but people want to believe it’s simple to justify their bigotry. I studied biology for two years at university and I just know that I know practically nothing about it…

It’s my go-to gin for a lot of mixed cocktails, like negronis or Long Island iced teas, as I don’t want to waste a good gin whose flavor will be offset by the other alcohols. I prefer it to the other big commercial brands (Beefeater, Tanqueray, Gordon’s). But it’s nice to have a variety of better quality brand,s with different profiles, for gin tonics or dry martinis.

Number is pretty low in comparison to most comments on here, but I have 380 hours in FTL, so there’s that lol.
Might I add, a 10 scale is too granular for most people. It should be on 5. Most people have their scale start at 5 and go above. The only time they will go below is to give a 1 to a movie they hated.
Rotten Tomatoes is a review aggregator. They don’t decide what score the movie will have. The critics submit their reviews and the score is the percentage of critics who’s own score is at or above 60%. It also shows the average rating. I think having hese two metrics is a great way to actually see if a movie is worth watching.
I also check out IMDb scores but it shows that it’s mostly generated by regular users. And the average user doesn’t know jack about cinema. Just looking at the top 250 : how is Shawshank the best movie of all time ? It’s a great movie, but come on… just in general there are so many average movies that rank way too high while actual masterpieces are under the 100th position. It’s not a ranking of the best movies OAT, it’s a ranking of the most agreeable movies OAT.
Edit : The score is calculated on if a review is positive or negative. It does not specify what score is considered a positive review, I guess it is up to the critic submitting it. They also removed last year the average calculator which is sad…

Oh don’t worry I know she had an immense impact on a lot of artists from different genres. She has a near perfect discography and she really pushed boundaries. I am mostly a metalhead, but she is one of my favourite artist of all time.

My first reaction seeing the thumbnail was “how is Kate Bush showing up in a goth community ?”

What’s great with this kind of meal is that the only limit is your imagination. You take whatever vegetable/nut/legume is on sell (even though chickpeas are imo the best) and the only prep is the cutting. For the dressing, there are so many easy recipes you can find online. So easy yet so satisfying and refreshing. Good job on reclaiming your culinary independance !

If you don’t mind a little black in there, go check out Hellripper.

Bold of you to assume there is no gay step porn.

Reading this makes me wish Aamon Animation would do a Jimmy Fallon video.

Someone bring back DRM free digital purchases please…

I slept on that band for so long, now they are one of my favourite OAT. I would go with Hanging Garden as my favourite from them. Honorable mentions to Disintegration, A Strange Day, From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea and Fascination Street.

Same with Daft Punk. I have listened so much to Alive 2007 and it breaks my heart that I could have seen that show live in my city if I had not been a stubborn teen who “only listens to real music” (rock and metal).

Hollow Knight
Bought it not long after it came out because I was so in awe with the visual style. Played it for some hours and thought it was fun, but it was not clicking with me as much as I thought it would. It got even worse when I got stuck in the progression. I put the game down and did not play it for a while. Fast forward 3 months and I decide to pick it up again. For some reason this time I found out where to go next and from that moment I could not stop playing it. I could not believe how vast the exploration felt. To this day it is still my favourite game of all time.
I feel like there is a wordplay I am missing here considering the TMBG reference on the other poster.
I am a french canadian, I can assure you niche is a french word, so Nish is technically the “correct” way of pronouncing it. Never heard it pronounced the french way by americans, only neesh. Maybe it has to do on where you are in the US tho.
