131·22 hours agoTwo of their murders were already observed and extremely well documented, yet the murderers will see no consequences for their actions.
Perhaps actively stopping the murderers before they murder is a better approach?

No, 30% of Americans (at least) are perfectly fine with it.

Boycott US@lemmy.ca•Danish shoppers 'vote with their wallets' as they boycott US productsEnglish
6·1 day agoProbably food manufactured by US owned companies mainly. Although there was somewhat of an uptick in the sale of US beef several years ago, but I imagine prices would have ended that regardless of any boycot.

4·2 days agoIt is only a matter of time. I suspect it is a bit of a complicated task to develop reliably, but it will definitely be the future of anti-drone warfare.
Something like a Gepard flakpanzer with automated aim would be invaluable.

Memes of Production@quokk.au•you can only vote for the liberalsEnglish
172·2 days agoCapitalists loves it when Americans vote third party, because that means the fascist party wins. Whoever made this meme seems to not really understand how fucked up the US election system is, and how tailored it is to allow an oligarch minority to rule everything.
But you know, both sides are the same, right?

6·2 days agoThere haven’t been a full release. It is still only a heavily redacted selection.
It should be mentioned that they have released some of the Epstein files, and heavily redacted. Most of it has still not been released. Obviously the parts where Trumps feature the most haven’t been released yet, which says a lot about how involved he was, because he has already been proven to be heavily involved just by the files they have already released.

10·3 days agoIt has only ever served to protect tyrants. There is a reason it was right wingers who imagined the particular modern interpretation of the amendment to mean what people believe it means today.
Historically speaking of course. I would be very happy to see a change in that trend, but of course so far there has been no signs that that trend has changed in any way.

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Oh, how the mighty have fallen: TIME rolls out an AI-generated depiction of the American Revolution.English
32·3 days agoYou can watch scenes of it on youtube and it is horrible. There is nothing historical accurate about it, the “sets” looks cheap and anachronistic, in fact anachronism pervades it through and through. I randomly forwarded to a scene where what was apparently Franklin and Jefferson are sitting and drinking whiskey from modern glass tumblers, their customes looks like someone poorly attempted to disguise modern clothing as 18th century outfits. The “acting” is atrocious with weird facial expressions, characters looking different in different scenes and so on.
I have no idea why they would use AI for this, when it would probably have been cheaper, and just as historically convincing, to use randos from the street and just film them with their phone right there and then.
Why any professional would voluntarily sign their name to this slop is beyond me. The guy must really have been in need of some hard cash.

I can recommend Eva Trio (Danish company) with ceramic non-stick. Good quality, and decently priced.
