I like how everyone claims all religion is fucked up but there’s only one where this is actually extremely common… and the other religion that is mass adopted has different problems.

Show me examples of Buddhists, Native Americans, or Paganists doing this kind of stuff. The literal reason Islamism and Christianity are particularly bad is because they’re mass-adopted and politicians take advantage of that.
Just remove all religion from politics and there won’t be any problems. Human rights dictate freedom of religion AND FROM religion, not just the later.

This is essentially what some leftists call “social murder”, which is when killing certain people becomes acceptable as long as you’re not directly responsible for it and those people just die as consequences of societal actions, or as a “cost of doing business”.
The problem with cars is more that because of the SUVification, pedestrians are significantly more likely to die from getting hit. The cars are (mostly) safe for the person driving it, but the higher ride height and massively high hoods are a recipe for disaster if you collide into a smaller car or a pedestrian.

It is not your fiancé’s job to fix his friend. He seems to angry at your fiancé for no apparent reason. The first thing is knowing WHY Sean is upset, and seeing if his reaction to this question is reasonable at all. If it is not, there’s not much to do other than cutting him off. IMO, that friendship has already sunk, because your fiance’s friend seem to care significantly more about himself than anything else and trying to appeal to that kind of person is a fool’s errand.
