I can’t imagine applying to work for HR personally. I’ve never liked an HR person. I’m not even someone that gets called up by HR I just see how they work and hate it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Everyone talks about "siblings or dating final boss"; what are some examples of "siblings or dating tutorial level"?

I figure you’re not being completely serious but still lol

11·22 hours agoMaybe I’m being unrealistic but I’ve always felt like most gov officials like Congress should only get what the average American income is. Making government that rewards and attracts money motivated people doesn’t seem good for society (obviously). If they find the wage unlivable then maybe it’s time to restructure some things.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Reminder [USA]: The fight against age verification is still on!
13·1 day agoAt the very least you can have your conscience eased that you didn’t simply let the country go to shit and fought back in some capacity.
The down vote you got kills me

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Should MAGA have separate bathrooms so they can't be around women and children?
3·2 days agoAmericans have been conditioned since a young age that they can’t do anything about what the government does. The population has been subdued while teaching them of freedoms and liberties while never questioning whether those things apply to them. The tools are there but they’re all brainwashed.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Mullvad Browser and Tor Browser have unique-per-computer persistent IDs on fingerprint.com
1·2 days agoThis has been my concern switching over to other OS’. I’m hoping as these alternative choices become more popular this won’t be the case as much but I do still have a Windows laptop I rarely use. Only use it for special use cases.

1·2 days agoSame here. Just lurking has been useful to me here. Nice to see someone in a similar spot (not an expert but passionate about the subject)
I’ve always said banning guns doesn’t make violent people incapable violence. Trying it during a time where we can 3D print guns isn’t really realistic. Its a cultural issue.

2·6 days agoYou have a fair concern but I do want to say it is possible to get the phones secondhand. Even if someone does buy the phone just to install GrapheneOS then at least they only get a small purchase vs a lifetime of selling your data and continuing to profit off of them long-term.

News@lemmy.world•Kash Patel admits under oath FBI is buying location data on Americans
3·9 days agoOur bill of rights really should extend to digital data by default. Technology is so integrated into our lives that phones and computers should be treated more akin to personal offices. I feel like grabbing our data from our personal space challenges the fourth amendment.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Linux Mint: When suspending computer while audio is playing, it loops 1 second.
5·9 days agoIt’s probably just your computer stuttering while trying to change states. Perhaps pause your audio before you suspend it. I don’t think it’s necessarily an indication something is wrong.
I suppose if you do find a fix for it then I’m curious but it’s nothing that I personally would be worried about.

4·9 days agoYou think it was for show? I am genuinely curious of someone else’s view because I’ve been skeptical myself. The fact they were even working with the Pentagon in the first place was a red flag to me.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•When people recommend Brave browser.English
1·10 days agoYeah that was one of the original selling points for me. Being able to use YouTube without ads, play audio with phone locked and YouTube actually works better on the browser than the app.

31·9 days agoI mean I’m open to other mobile browsers if you have suggestions. On my actual PC I use Mullvad and Librewolf.
Edit: ironfox was heavily recommended and have installed in. Seems good to me so far. I appreciate your guys suggestions.
Nah not 100% but we will definitely push up

Honestly never did this until I did meth (sober now). Meth really ruined my relationship with porn lol
